What is the value of self-compassion?

October 30, 20233 min read

As I continue to share the values of inner intuitive work, I want to share a recent piece of feedback that is especially meaningful to me!

It’s so truly magical when wonderful discoveries come to us.

It’s not by chance, it’s perfectly synchronous and it’s so extraordinary to both experience AND witness🥰

“Physically, my body feels lighter and more relaxed. The muscles that I usually hold tight have softened and my sleep is noticeably deeper. Adding a daily meditation practice on top of our work has helped bring calm and focus to my easily over stimulated brain.

I am now listening to what my brain and body intuitively need and following through without judgment.

Jules, the most notable gift to come out of our time working together is the gift of self compassion. This work has led me to a point where my inner voice is no longer always scolding and frustrated but reminds me that I'm human- that is a gift I've been searching for my whole life”. - Kym Wand

What is the value of self-compassion?

Self-compassion helps reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress. When you treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding that you would offer to a friend (which we all know is a huge feat 😉) it can significantly boost your emotional well-being. That high vibration spreads not only through your whole body but exudes through you to everyone you come into contact with ✨

Also self-compassion has been scientifically proven to enhance your ability to cope with life's challenges, decreasing stress level’s dramatically and bringing a state of flow to otherwise tedious ‘tasks’.

It provides a stable foundation for resilience, helping you bounce back from difficult situations with ease.

This share through my client’s own personal experience confirms that self-compassion counteracts harsh self-criticism and that incessant negative self-talk. It encourages radical self-acceptance and self-love, which are vital for continued expansive learning and self-awareness (aka evolutionary growth 😉)

Self-compassion is also closely related to mindfulness. It encourages you to be more aware of your thoughts and feelings in the present moment, allowing you to respond to them with understanding and kindness (vs. The usual judgement and criticism).

When you embrace yourself as you truly are, as a whole being, a co-creator of your reality… it’s then that you cultivate the greatest self-acceptance of all.. that you just BEING you IS your purpose.

Aren’t sure how to step in to EMBODY your purpose? I get it, I’m learning daily too. The thing is that it’s not something you can understand or ‘get’ until you really get it. It’s a felt experience, the kind that comes with anchoring into your body and practicing.

It IS something that we can all do 🤩 are YOU ready? Please reach out if this resonates with you✨

Indeed, self-attention is a real gift, thanks to which we can make our lives more fulfilling and happy. Just try asking yourself questions about: Do I feel discomfort in my body and where exactly? What does my body want to get rid of? Do I feel like my mind and body are well connected? How often do I talk to or about myself in a critical tone? Do I accept my flaws as part of the whole me?
